About dive industry salaries

Have you ever had a look on a standard job advertisement for the diving industry?

Usually dive center are looking for: multilingual personnel (minimum 2-3 languages), instructor with a lot of specialties, insured and fully-equipped diver, able to work at least 6 days a week for not less than 10 hours, diving 2-3 times a day plus general dc duties as staying with customers, sell courses and dives, maybe be good looking. And most of all he/she has to be “Enthusiast” (that generally means available to work for free)

I just wondering in which other job you can ask such a lot of qualifications and offering in change almost nothing, if not a very low salary and a promise of “commissions”? If you want professionalism, you have to pay for that. Unfortunately many young instructors or divemasters are still accepting these conditions because “diving is fun”.. Even if they shortly change their mind.
